Presentations, Readings, & Workshops

The Writing Center is pleased to offer a variety of presentations, readings, and workshops to highlight various facets of writing and to extend opportunities to further writing support and awareness.

Each semester Writing Center administrators and staff present to the campus community about our services and about various types of writing assignments, writing principles, processes, and best practices. Faculty and staff may request class visits that introduce writers to our services or contact a Writing Center administrator about presentations on other topics.

Creative Writing Readings and Critique Groups

The creative writing student reading series is held during fall and winter semesters. Readings combine invited readers with an open mic format to help student writers share polished work and try out new pieces. Additionally, creative writing critique groups provide a space and community for writing, reviewing, revising, and receiving feedback on students' creative writing. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for more information about Writing Center events.
